The first beneficiary of ASTapp are the MSF laboratories on the field, represented in the map in this page.
Nevertheless, the application will be free and expecially thought for low-resource settings. It could be used everywhere, thereby granting a more egalitarian access to the diagnosis of bacterial infections, worldwide.
Location of the MSF field laboratories
Compare with the countries that adhere to HWO’s Global Antimicrobial Resistance Surveillance System (GLASS), the aim of which is to support global surveillance, research and global actions. MSF operates in countries where information is poor or missing and ASTapp can make data collection easy.
